Dagenham & Redbridge have snapped up Portsmouth youngster Tom Kilbey on an initial month's loan.

The 18-year-old midfielder has yet to feature in the first team at Fratton Park and should gain valuable experience at Victoria Road.

Meanwhile, Daggers boss John Still has dismissed speculation linking him with the managerial vacancy at League One Colchester United.

He stated: "I am very happy at Dagenham & Redbridge and I am very close to signing a new contract.

"I therefore have no interest in leaving the club and wish that to be known."
