Dagenham & Redbridge have handed an 18-month contract to Billy Bingham following a successful trial.
The teenage left-back has been training with the Daggers since his release by Crystal Palace in December.
Manager John Still is now keen to send the youngster out on loan in search of first-team football.
"Billy has done quite well, so we are going to have a look at him for a year as we've done with a few of our young players," he told the Ilford Recorder.
"It's not good to just train all the time and although they play our reserve matches, first-team football is better."
