Tomlin at the double

21 July 2010 12:01
Summer signing Gavin Tomlin got his name on the scoresheet as Dagenham eased to a 4-1 friendly win at Thurrock. The Daggers fell behind to a goal from Matt Bodkin after 22 minutes, but soon drew level when Paul Benson fired home a penalty 11 minutes later. Dagenham took the lead within two minutes of the restart when Mark Arber's header was blocked on the line before the loose ball hit Graeme Montgomery and went in. Tomlin, who joined the club from Yeovil, increased the Daggers' advantage with his second goal in as many games with a header at the far post after 61 minutes, before turning provider to set up Danny Green to complete the rout.
