Thurgood saw a specialist on Friday and it has now been revealed he will have to go under the knife to repair the problem.[LNB]The 28-year-old has two cartilage problems - one on the inside and the other on the back - which have to be operated on and will be sidelined for three months if everything goes smoothly.[LNB]Thurgood's absence is a big blow to manager John Still as the former Gillingham midfielder played a crucial part in the Daggers' storming start to the season.[LNB]Dagenham extended the loan of Gillingham midfielder Adam Miller - who has been deputising for Thurgood - for an extra month on Tuesday and may look to bring someone in on a permanent basis in January.[LNB][LNB]
