Still targets Great Escape

Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still has not given up on escaping relegation after seeing his side clinch a 1-0 win at Hartlepool. A scrappy, wind-affected game was settled in the 86th minute by Daggers striker Gavin Tomlin, who stole in at the near post to turn home Jon Nurse's cross. The Daggers moved off the foot of the table, while Pools lost at home for the first time since the end of September. Still said: "We always work hard. I always say the same thing - we never lose track of who we are and where we come from. "We worked hard the last few games, stayed in them, kept in it and it's about how you claw those inches in. We won at Carlisle, won at Hartlepool, were unfortunate at Brentford and we are getting there. "A couple more players in will give us a real fighting chance of staying up. "We have 20-odd games to play, 60 points, so many to play for. If we can make our squad as we feel it should be, we have every opportunity."
