Still stays upbeat

Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still saw reasons for optimism despite the 1-0 defeat at Notts County. Last season's play-off winners remain without a point, having lost at Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day, but Still remains confident. He said: "Some might say, is that a learning curve? I don't think it is a learning curve of the league at all. I thought we played okay at Sheffield Wednesday and we played well here. "I know my players, I know what we've got and I know that we're going to come across some difficult times against the so-called big hitters. "But it wasn't too difficult at Sheffield Wednesday and this team (County) won our league last year very well, but I think we've come here and shown that we're more than capable. "We've done enough here to win the game without a doubt. The last two weeks I've seen us improve our team play. Our team play is looking better and I was delighted with our performance."
