Dagenham & Redbridge striker Josh Scott has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a blood clot. Scott had been suffering from a mystery illness since Christmas and doctors initially suspected he was suffering from pneumothorax. Further tests have now revealed the 25-year-old has a blood clot. Manager John Still said: "He's had it for a while and to be fair to Josh he was completely unaware. "He went through a period quite early on in the season of discomfort and it's every credit to him that he played the games that he did. "Eventually it got checked out where the blood clot was confirmed. "Unfortunately it means that he won't be available this season but we're hoping that his medication kicks in and he comes back as the Josh Scott we had previously."
