The damage would have been worse for Dagenham too but for the heroics of veteran Welsh goalkeeper Tony Roberts.[LNB]The 40-year-old shot-stopper was in action as early as the fourth minute when he dived full-length to fingertip away a Drissa Diallo header and nine minutes later Roberts was in action again, pushing away a Frankie Artus drive after good work from Justin Richards.[LNB]Paul Benson opened the scoring for Dagenham four minutes into the second half, spinning in the area 12 yards out before rifling an unstoppable effort into the top right corner.[LNB]As Dagenham pressed on, Benson went close again on two occasions but Roberts was called upon again in the 64th minute, brilliantly thwarting Barry Hayles with Cheltenham's David Bird firing the rebound against the bar.[LNB]Townsend then got on the end of Artus' corner nine minutes from the end, before Roberts again came to the rescue, pushing away a 20-yard effort from sub Josh Low six minutes from time.[LNB][LNB]
