McGleish sends Daggers out

Two goals from veteran striker Scott McGleish put Leyton Orient on their way to a 3-2 FA Cup first-round replay over rivals Dagenham. McGleish opened the scoring when hooking in a free-kick from Charlie Daniels in the first attack of the game after 82 seconds and after Alex Revell scored his 10 goal of the season with a close-range finish in the 24th minute, the home side appeared to be coasting. However, Dagenham hit back with a vengeance after the break and two goals in a minute put them back on level terms to set up a storming conclusion. Their first came after 67 minutes when Danny Green slammed home a penalty after Ben Chorley had handled and then Solomon Taiwo drove home a 22-yards drive to set up the storming finale. McGleish though was destined to have the last word when he rose to meet a Dean Cox corner with 14 minutes remaining to give his side the winner and a second-round trip to Droylsden.
