Dons skipper Dean Lewington broke the deadlock with a 55th-minute header and striker Jermaine Easter grabbed a double before substitute Josh Scott pulled a goal back for the Daggers at the death. Harris said: "We had two solid banks of four for 45 minutes but then we had a mad 10 minutes and we were chasing the game. "I thought the youngsters were fantastic, it was the more senior players who didn't come up with the goods. "[Abu] Ogogo, [Tom] Kilbey, [Graeme] Montgomery, [Danny] Green and Scott all did very well. Kilbey has had a hectic day, he's driven up from Portsmouth, signed and then played. "It all bodes well for the future but we're just disappointed with the manner of the goals because we did our work in the first half. It will be back to the drawing board, we'll have a look at the video and then go from there."
