Gulls grind out draw with Daggers
Genuine goalscoring opportunities were at a premium at Plainmoor, with United defender Mark Ellis sending a 19th-minute volley wide from the far post following skipper Nicky Wroe's corner from the right.[LNB]A minute later, visiting keeper Tony Roberts made a routine stop from Chris Zebroski's 18-yard shot on the turn.[LNB]Daggers striker Josh Scott glanced a header just wide from Jon Nurse's angled cross from the left in the 28th minute as the visitors finally countered with intent.[LNB]Wroe's 58th-minute shot from the edge of the area flew just wide as the home side went in search of the opening goal.[LNB]Lee Mansell came closest to breaking the deadlock, thumping a dipping 25-yard shot over Roberts and off the bar.[LNB]Roberts made a superb stoppage time diving save to keep out Eunan O'Kane's goalbound free-kick from the left.[LNB][LNB]
