Daggers boss delighted with win
Jamie Guy's 25th-minute header sealed the points and Still said: "I'm absolutely delighted with the reaction of the players after two home defeats when we just didn't perform at all.
"The players worked tremendously hard and I thought the three points were well deserved.
"Jamie took his goal well and I hope it's the first of many. We have struggled to score since Paul Benson was injured, but Jamie looks as though he could fit the bill.
"I know Vale have hit the bar twice, but Tony Roberts was not under serious pressure apart from that. We made enough opportunities to score at least one more goal and Matt Ritchie's chance was one I would expect him to put away."
