Billy Bingham is poised to return to Wayne Burnett's starting XI, with Jake Reed likely to return to the bench.
Midfielder Matt Saunders (foot) and defender Luke Wilkinson (groin) are both back in training but remain a week or two away from their respective returns.
The Daggers went down 3-1 in their opening league fixtureat Fleetwood before narrowly losing out 3-2 at Brentford in the Capital One Cup in midweek.
Striker Richard Cresswell and defender Ben Davies could both return to York's starting line-up.
Cresswell was rested for the midweek Capital One Cup defeat to Burnley, while Davies, on loan from Preston, did not have permission to play.
