Norris set for Daggers bow

Luke Norris could make his Dagenham debut as Scunthorpe travel to Victoria Road.

The striker joined on loan from Brentford on Thursday and is expected to go straight into the squad as Wayne Burnett's side look to avoid a third consecutive defeat.

Fellow striker Dominic Samuel has returned to parent-club Reading after suffering a knee injury while long-term absentees Billy Bingham (knee), Matt Saunders and Jordan Seabright (both ankle) remain on the sidelines.

Dagenham have won just one of their last seven Sky Bet League Two fixtures, which has seen them slip eight points adrift of the play-off places.

Scunthorpe striker Gary McSheffrey is in contention to make his debut.

Recent signing McSheffrey was an unused substitute last week, but stepped up his match fitness with the reserves and could partner Paddy Madden, who is hoping to make his first start after coming off the bench for his debut at AFC Wimbledon.

Boss Russ Wilcox has plenty of attacking options with Paul Hayes recently scoring twice in his first match since returning to Glanford Park, while Sam Winnall and Deon Burton are also in contention.

Midfielders Michael Collins and Matt Sparrow are pushing for recalls, but defender Andy Dawson (hip), winger Andy Welsh (knee) and striker Matt Godden (ankle) are still out.
