Daggers wait on Lewington

Dagenham will again assess Chris Lewington ahead of their home clash against Oxford.

The goalkeeper failed a late fitness test prior to last weekend's impressive 1-0 win at Exeter, a result which left the Daggers, 17th, five points clear of the drop zone in npower League Two.

Lewington has now missed the last three matches due to his back injury and should he not make it then Jordan Seabright is expected to retain his place between the posts, having displaced loanee Jonathan Miles at St James Park.

Interim boss Wayne Burnett has no new injury or suspension problems but remains without strikers Sam Williams (knee) and Josh Scott (hip).

Oxford head to Dagenham boasting a 100 per cent record in both league and cup games at Victoria Road, although the Daggers triumphed 3-2 at the Kassam Stadium earlier this season.

Oxford manager Chris Wilder could welcome Michael Raynes back into the fold for the trip.

The defender sat out last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Wycombe after he picked up two yellow cards during the clash with Aldershot on Easter Monday. He is in contention to return to the starting XI.

Wilder will run the rule over striker James Constable ahead of kick-off. The former Shrewsbury man limped off the field against Wycombe with an ankle injury and is rated as doubtful for the clash.

Winger Sean Rigg will also be given a late fitness test after he missed the Wycombe game with the ankle injury he picked up in the ninth minute of his side's match with Aldershot.
