Williams and Woodall battle for starting spot

Sam Williams and Brian Woodall are competing to replace Dwight Gayle in attack as Dagenham entertain Fleetwood.

Gayle, seven-goal top scorer for the Daggers, this week joined Championship side Peterborough on loan until January, with a future permanent deal a very real possibility.

Williams is the man likely to get the nod alongside Jake Reed in attack having already bagged five goals himself this term.

Otherwise, manager John Still has no new injury or suspension problems to contend with and boasts a full-strength squad.

Teenage attacking midfielder Josh Wakefield arrived on a month-long loan deal from Bournemouth ahead of Thursday's window closing and he will hope to make the bench.

The Daggers, who did not play in midweek, will be aiming to bounce back after the disappointing nature of last weekend's 3-2 defeat at Burton.

Fleetwood hope to welcome back Steven Gillespie.

The four-goal forward has missed the Cod Army's last five fixtures with a hamstring problem but has returned to training and is being closely assessed by Micky Mellon.

But fellow striker Jon Parkin is still struggling with his hamstring problem and will not travel.

Midfielder Alex Marrow and defender Shaun Beeley have recovered from illness and are expected to be involved after the pair missed Tuesday night's defeat to Accrington.

Andy Mangan and Anthony Barry are both still sidelined with knee injuries, while 21-year-old forward Alex Titchiner has been recalled from his loan spell at Halifax and is in contention.

Brazilian forward Branco made his Fleetwood debut in midweek as a second half substitute and is pushing for further involvement.
