Daggers suffer Hines blow

Zavon Hines will miss Dagenham's clash at home to AFC Wimbledon on New Year's Day through suspension.

The forward was shown his fifth booking of the season in Sunday's 1-1 draw at League Two leaders Chesterfield and now serves an automatic one-match ban.

Billy Bingham (knee) and Matt Saunders (ankle) are expected to remain on the sidelines as the Daggers aim to end a four-match winless run.

Manager Wayne Burnett made three changes against the Spireites and Femi Ilesanmi, Medy Elito and Chris Dickson, among others, will be hoping to earn recalls to face the Dons.

AFC Wimbledon will check on Barry Fuller.

Defender Fuller suffered a dead leg during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Plymouth and was replaced by Will Antwi, who was making his first appearance of the season following hernia surgery.

The Dons are also waiting to hear whether George Francomb will be available having appealed against the midfielder's red card against Southend on Boxing Day.

Striker Michael Smith, who scored his 10th goal of the season against Plymouth, will play his final game for Neal Ardley's side before heading back to Charlton at the end of his loan spell.
