Dagenham coach Wayne Burnett praised the performance of Jon Nurse after he scored twice in a 4-1 win against Brentford. Nurse`s double along with a Romain Vincelot header and Karleigh Osborne own goal left Charlie MacDonald's injury-time strike for the Bees as mere consolation. Victory lifted the Daggers off the bottom of League One, and Burnett said: "We're delighted, it was a fantastic team performance. We haven't played too badly in previous games but we've got a fantastic result and scored four goals. "We didn't start too brightly, they were in the ascendancy, but we got a fortunate goal. "You have to be there to put them in and Nursey was. He works incredibly hard for the team and it was a fantastic opportunity for him and he has done fantastically well to score two goals. "I hope this is a turning point, I really do. When you're in the position we are they are always very tough games and we need to win our home games."
