Czech Republic coach was evidently disappointed after his side were dismantled 4-1 by Russia in their opening Group A encounter in Warsaw.

"I am very disappointed. It is an impressive result for Russia although we started the match well and had plenty of possession. We didn't take our chances and then we lost the ball and they broke quickly".

"We came back into the game (at 2-1 down) but again lost the ball and our opponents punished us! The Russians are favourites in the group and they are really a strong team".

"Their passing and combinations caused us a lot of problems and their one-touch play deprived us the ball.

"We have to be strong mentally but I still believe we can get out of this group".
