Warnock understands Sousa

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has admitted that he agrees with Swansea City boss Paulo Sousa in part, following his remarks about teams going into administration.

Sousa recently suggested that a ten-point penalty was too soft on those in severe debt and a fitting punishment should be relegation.

But Warnock has explained that the Eagles predicament is much different to others who have fallen foul in similar circumstances.

Speaking to reporters, Warnock said: "I think he wasn't sure of the facts.

"I agree with him in the majority in that when a club puts itself into administration in order to get rid of its debts, I think it is totally wrong and I agree with him they should be relegated.

"But that was not the case with us. We were trying to pay our debts and it was not our choice to go into administration.

"He has just picked up the wrong end of the stick."
