Warnock slams Watson exit talk

06 November 2008 07:19
Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has dismissed reports suggesting Ben Watson will be heading to Reading in the January transfer window with Leroy Lita moving in the opposite direction. Royals boss Steve Coppell was believed to have enquired about a possible swap deal in August, since when Watson has gone on to score four goals for the Eagles. "I've no intention of letting Ben go at the minute - even in August I didn't want him to leave and I'm not interested in Lita," Warnock told the South London Press. Earlier this week Lita extended his loan stay at Norwich City until the beginning of December.
