Warnock mulls Johnson move

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has claimed that he has been offered the chance to sign Fulham's American striker Eddie Johnson.

The 25-year-old has made only a handful of appearances for the Cottagers and spent last season out on loan with Cardiff City.

Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent, but we don't know if we are going to follow it up. It's an option."

Meanwhile, Palace have handed a one-year contract to 18-year-old former Swansea City striker Matthew Wright, who impressed during a trial spell last term.
