Warnock hails Butterfield show

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock paid tribute to unlikely goal hero Danny Butterfield following the 3-1 FA Cup fourth round replay win over Wolves at Selhurst Park.

Butterfield, usually a left-back, was employed in a more forward role and responded with a six-minute second-half hat-trick.

Warnock said afterwards: "I told him he'd score, but I didn't think he'd get three.

"We're a bit thin on the ground in numbers at the moment and he's been very lively in training. I don't know what he's on, but I want some of it.

"The first one, he was in the right place, the second was a great ball from Darren Ambrose and I thought he was a bit nonchalant with the third.

"His goals got him the man-of-the-match but we had 11 of them out there."
