Warnock cool on Beattie deal

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock may try to bring striker Craig Beattie back to the club next season.

The 25-year-old scored five times in 15 appearances for the Eagles during a loan spell at Selhurst Park, having struggled to make a first-team impact with West Bromwich Albion.

Warnock commented: "West Brom will try and sell a few players and I think Beattie will be one of them.

"But I'm not sure clubs have a lot of money, so perhaps they might end up loaning him out again.

"That's a long way off and he is not my number one target."
