Warnock bemused by officials

Crystal Palace manager was left to rue another incorrect decision against his team during Wednesday night's 3-1 FA Cup fifth round replay loss at Aston Villa.

The hosts were awarded a corner from which Gabriel Agbonlahor headed home, but replays showed the ball had rebounded off James Milner before going out of play in the lead up to annoy Warnock.

Although he refused to launch a stinging tirade on the officials, he was left frustrated as a similar incident scuppered his side's chances of progression at Selhurst Park ten days earlier.

Villa scored from a corner in the original meeting despite replays once again showing that it should have been a goal kick after the ball cannoned off Nathan Delfouneso and behind.

Warnock said: "It was a goal-kick. You could see that from the halfway line. This sort of thing does my head in at times.

"But Villa deserved to win, although I think the scoreline was a bit flattering. They are a top side and we really had to hang in there to give them a good game."
