Warnock bemoans Sears luck

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock believes Freddie Sears' season has been ruined by his infamous 'goal' at Bristol City.

The on-loan West Ham United man's form has been blighted since the incident and Warnock hopes he can forget about it sooner rather than later.

Sears hit a shot beyond the goalline that rebounded back off the inside stanchion and referee Rob Shoebridge didn't realise it had gone in.

Warnock said: "The Bristol City debacle has knocked his confidence.

"And he is not really firing on all cylinders like what we expected.

"He was really down after that carry-on.

"He has not scored a goal since and he has to find the back of the net somehow."
