Warnock back in the fold

New Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock admitted to being a bag of nerves before his side's 1-1 draw at Blackpool.

The Eagles took the lead at Bloomfield Road through Tom Soares, but held on for a point after the midfielder was shown a red card late on for a foul on Andy Welsh.

Warnock said: "I really enjoyed it and once we had taken the lead I thought we'd go on and win it.

"My stomach was churning before the game, it's a nice challenge at a new club and the players didn't let me down.

"I want our players to enjoy coming to work. We will win some, but we will lose some and I just want everyone to enjoy it.

"I thought the referee had a good game, but the dismissal was unlucky for Tom. He couldn't get out of their player's way, but we won't be appealing."
