Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is hoping to extend Craig Beattie's loan stay at Selhurst Park.
The Scotland striker has made an impressive start to life with the Eagles after scoring the winner against Charlton Athletic on Tuesday in only his second appearance for the Championship club.
Beattie joined Palace on a month's loan last week as cover for injured trio Alan Lee, James Scowcroft and Calvin Andrew and Warnock is hoping to strike a deal with parent club West Bromwich Albion to keep hold of the striker.
"We're hoping we can have him for the three months up to January," he said.
"But at the moment it's one thing at a time really. He's had two games now and only probably one-and-a-half training sessions with us, but he's fitted in well and you can see that.
"(West Brom boss) Tony (Mowbray) has been great to let us have him as you don't get Premier League strikers very often because they've got seven subs, so I'm delighted."
