Warnock: Scowcroft will leave

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has confirmed that striker James Scowcroft will leave the club in the summer.

The 33-year-old has rejected loan approaches from a number of club this season, preferring to stay put at Selhurst Park and see out the remaining months of his deal.

Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser: "Jamie Scowcroft will not be offered a new contract and will leave in the summer."

Scowcroft has scored 14 goals in 83 appearances for Palace since his arrival from Coventry City in the summer of 2006.

Warnock has also admitted that he will consider offers for right-back Danny Butterfield, who is currently out on loan at Charlton Athletic.

He added: "We will listen to offers for Danny in the summer, but in saying that we will listen to offers for all our players.

"But if we get an offer for a player I want to keep hold of, then I will reject the offer."
