Taylor pleased to progress
08 Jan 2007 - 08:43:25
Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor was a relieved man after seeing his side squeeze into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 home win over Swindon Town.
Goals from Shefki Kuqi and Jobi McAnuff gave the Eagles victory against their League Two opponents, with Taylor accepting that it was a tough encounter for his side.
He said: "It was a difficult match and I was very impressed with Swindon. All the pressure was on us against a lower division team at home.
"We had a very good start which I hoped would settle us down, but we needed the second and could have done with it earlier.
"There were plenty of shocks, so I'm delighted we're not one of them.
"I didn't think we played as well as we have done. We were a bit sloppy in defence and switched off a bit. So that's why I'm relieved to have got through."
