Crystal Palace are closing in on Dundee goalkeeper Julian Speroni after the Dark Blues accepted their offer for the Argentinian.
The cash-strapped SPL club value the 25-year-old at £750,000 and with the Eagles prepared to meet that valuation Dundee boss Jim Duffy has given them permission to speak to the player.
Duffy said: "We have accepted Palace's offer and whether or not the deal goes through is now down to Julian.
"I am sad that it looks like we are losing him, but he is a very good goalkeeper and a very good guy and I am pleased for him that he is getting the chance to play at that level."
Speroni moved to Dens Park from Platense in June 2001 and went on to make 92 SPL appearances, as well as featuring in Dundee's brief UEFA Cup run last season.
