Selhurst Park has been among a host of football grounds that have been hit with the freezing conditions sweeping the country, with the surrounding areas around the club covered in a heavy coating of snow. Johnson told the club's official website: "They've protected the pitch with covers but the bigger problem seems to be the paths and walkways around the ground. "We are due to leave at 1pm on Friday to travel to London - if we can travel - and hopefully we'll know at that time rather than travelling all the way up only to discover at the last minute that it isn't going ahead." He added: "We all want the match to be on - a weekend without a match feels a little empty."
