Palace result disappoints Freedman

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman admitted his disappointment following the 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth but insisted he would take a number of positives from the game.A 65th minute strike from David Nugent condemned the Eagles to their 13th away loss of the season, leaving them deep in relegation trouble.Freedman said: "I'm obviously disappointed with the result. I feel that we were resilient and showed the right sort of defensive qualities to get us through until 45 minutes."I felt that in the second half, the game looked to be changing and we got a bit of a foothold on it. We lost a goal at the worst possible time and we therefore had to chase the game. It was a little bit too open."Looking back at it, it's a difficult one to swallow. But I can see some positives in it."I felt it was a spirited performance in terms of putting our bodies on the line and giving everything we had. But unfortunately we came up a little bit short."
