Palace appointment for Craig
27 Jun 2007 - 14:47:10
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Millwall defender Tony Craig for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Selhurst Park where he is expected to replace out-of-contract left-back Gary Borrowdale.
Craig has followed a well-trodden path from Millwall which has seen the likes of Matt Lawrence, Darren Ward and Paul Ifill move to the Eagles in recent seasons.
"It's a nice step up for me. I have played in the Championship before with Millwall and I'm thoroughly looking forward to it," Craig told the club's official website.
"I heard about the interest around three weeks ago. This week the two clubs agreed a fee and it has all been finalised now.
"Hopefully we are looking to get into the play-offs and go up, so we all want a good season for the club."
