Oster pens Eagles extension

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has persuaded midfielder John Oster to pen a contract extension that will keep the 30-year-old at Selhurst Park until the end of the season.

Oster signed for the Eagles last summer on an initial six-month deal and has gone on to find the net three times in 19 appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, French winger Leandre Griffit has left the club after failing to become a first-team regular following his arrival last summer.

Warnock told the club's official website: "We had a chat and Leandre wanted to play regular football, which we can't offer him at the moment, so we both felt that it was the right thing for him to do."
