Olive branch handed to Kuqi

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed that he has made his peace with former Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers striker Shefki Kuqi.

The 31-year-old ex-Finland international was transfer-listed in February after making a crude gesture to Palace fans during the home defeat to Wolves.

However, Warnock said: "He's had a difficult time but, quite right, he can't do what he did.

"He's had five months in the wilderness. But needs must so I said 'I'm game if you are. Let's put things behind us and play it by ear'."

Kuqi has come off the substitute's bench in each of Palace's last three Championship matches and scored in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
