New boys excite Palace captain

Crystal Palace captain Shaun Derry has spoken of the positive impact January loan signings Claude Davis and Rui Fonte have had on the club.

Fonte joined his brother Jose at Palace last month on loan from Arsenal, while Championship rivals Derby allowed defender Davis to join on an initial one month's loan.

"Rui has settle in quite easily with Jose being here and with Claude we know just what an experienced centre-half he is," Derry told the Croydon Guardian.

"It's always nice to have new faces, especially in January, and hopefully we can have a few more," the 31-year-old added.
