McCarthy edging closer to return

The Irish centre-half has been sidelined since October following surgery on his shoulder but he visited a specialist this week and has been told he could be back in training by the end of the month. "The specialist is really pleased with Paddy and he can step things up," boss Neil Warnock told the South London Press. "He should be joining in training before the end of the month."
