Lawrence likely to face Blackpool

Davis, who had just returned from suspension, was sent off during Tuesday night's home defeat by Leicester. Fellow centre-half Paddy McCarthy came through a reserve game this week after nearly five months on the sidelines following shoulder surgery but he is unlikely to be risked from the start, so Lawrence is set for a recall. Paul Hart has further problems in defence after young right-back Nathaniel Clyne was forced off in midweek with a groin injury. Lee Hills is on stand-by to come in at left-back with Danny Butterfield switching to the right if Clyne fails a late fitness check.
