Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has reassured Dougie Freedman that he still has a future at the club even if he agrees to join Leeds United on loan.

Freedman, 34, has been told he is free to seek a loan move away from Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.

However, his ten-year association with the club during two spells is far from over according to Warnock.

"Dougie knows there's a coaching job here for him next season," he told the South London Press.

"He's done very well helping out with the reserves but he still wants to play.

"If it hadn't been for a club the size of Leeds coming in, he wouldn't even have thought about going."
