Easter keen to hit goal-trail

Crystal Palace new-boy Jermaine Easter is determined to score the goals required to help the club climb the Championship table after making a permanent move from MK Dons. The 28-year-old Wales international, who has signed a contract with the Eagles until the summer of 2013, was only recently recalled by the Dons from a loan stint at Swansea - the side Palace face on Saturday.Easter told the club's official website: "The move was done very quickly. There was interest in the summer but it didn't come about and I've been on loan (at Swansea) since deadline day in November and I trained there yesterday (Thursday) and it's definitely a bit of a weird one."It's a different pressure (here) to at Swansea but at the end of the day it's about winning football matches wherever you are in the league. It's a competitive league and I'm sure we've got enough to kick-on."(At MK Dons) I made it known that I wanted to test myself in the Championship but that's water under the bridge now and I want to start scoring goals in this league and take this team up the division."On working with new Selhurst Park boss Dougie Freedman, he added: "He's a young manager and a Palace legend, so he's got the respect of the fans and the players. I'm sure he'll be raring to go and I'm looking forward to working with him."
