Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has revealed that contract negations with highly-rated youngster John Bostock have now begun.
The 16-year-old midfielder has been linked with a string of top-flight clubs after a series of impressive displays following his arrival in the first team.
Bostock became the youngest player to represent the Eagles when he made a substitute appearance in a Championship encounter with Watford in October 2007.
However, after turning 16 last month, Bostock is now eligible to discuss a first professional contract and Warnock is wasting little time in sitting down with the Lambeth-born starlet.
"There has been a development because he now has an agent and we're going to have a meeting next week," Warnock told the South London Press.
"They're very busy so it's taking time and that was the earliest we could meet.
"I've spoken to John's father and he's very positive about the situation."
