    Eagles land loanee Hill

    16 Jan 2008 - 14:10:12

Crystal Palace have completed the permanent signing of on-loan defender Clint Hill.

The 29-year-old arrived at the Eagles on loan from Stoke City in November and has now joined the Selhurst Park club on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Hill impressed Palace boss Neil Warnock after scoring three times during 14 appearances for the resurgent Championship side.

"I'm delighted to finally welcome Clint Hill on board permanently," Warnock told the club's official website.

"He may not be the type of player who catches the eye of many opposition teams, but he is a manager's type of player.

"He is always one of the first on the teamsheet and his overall contribution during his loan spell has been a big factor in our climb up the table."

Hill began his career at Tranmere Rovers before moving on to Oldham Athletic and then Stoke in 2003.
