Dougie reveals disappointment

Veteran striker Dougie Freedman has revealed his disappointment at Crystal Palace's delay in offering him a new contract.

The 33-year-old is out of contract at Selhurst Park this summer and has already turned down a lucrative move to the Middle East in the hope of earning a new deal.

But Freedman has warned his patience is wearing thin as he waits to hear whether his eight-year spell with the Eagles will be extended.

"As it stands, I haven't been offered anything," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

"I've said many times in the past I'd like to stay at the club and that's still the case.

"It is a bit disappointing. I've showed the club respect by being patient and waiting for them to make their move and I had expected a bit more in return."
