Davis earns Hart's wrath

Crystal Palace manager Paul Hart will take disciplinary action against Claude Davis after the defender was sent off in Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Leicester City.

Davis was featuring in his first match since returning to action following a two-game ban for receiving ten yellow cards when he was dismissed by referee Steve Tanner on the stroke of half-time after clashing with Michael Morrison.

A furious Hart said after the loss that deepened Palace's relegation woes: "I don't think we can defend that at all.

"I'll study what the code of conduct is, but my last word to the players is always stay on the pitch.

"It's the last thing we needed and very disappointing. It was tough enough with 11 players on the pitch.

"It's not for me to comment on what the players think, but it was unnecessary and made the game difficult for us."
