Ambrose pens new Palace deal

Crystal Palace have ended the speculation surrounding the future of Darren Ambrose after agreeing a new three-year contract with the midfielder.

Former Eagles boss Neil Warnock was hoping to sign the 26-year-old for new club Queens Park Rangers, but Ambrose will now stay at Selhurst Park for a further three seasons.

"It's been a hard few months with all the speculation about my future, but I am delighted to be signing the new contract," he told the club's official website.

"I have always wanted to remain at this football club and I am pleased it is all resolved."

Ambrose scored a club-high 20 goals last season as cash-strapped Palace survived in the Championship.
