Warnock thanks fans for support

The Eagles are destined for a mid-table finish having failed to mount a challenge for the play-offs, but Warnock has promised better times ahead after a summer of rebuilding at Selhurst Park.

"The fans have been fantastic all season," said Warnock.

"They have stuck with me and not given me stick and they know we are in a difficult period. They trust me and they have to really, because I am the best one to take us higher next year.

"We need to get four or five players in and I know the younger lads can continue to do well for us. Even in my disappointment I know we have promise in areas of our squad."
