Vaughan boost for Eagles

James Vaughan is expected to be fit for Crystal Palace's crucial clash with Doncaster. The on-loan Everton striker limped off at the end of last Saturday's 2-1 defeat by relegation rivals Scunthorpe and underwent a scan amid fears his season could be over. But his ankle injury is not serious - and the broken bone in his hand he suffered when he punched the dressing-room wall in frustration will not keep him out either. Winger Sean Scannell starts a three-game ban after his red card against Scunthorpe but utility man David Wright could return after a calf injury. Midfielder Alex Marrow is also close to fitness after an ankle injury but he is more likely to return against Leeds on Monday.
