Scannell avoids surgery option
The winger has been struggling with the problem for a month but a specialist has told him he does not have to go under the knife.
"They are not going to do him for a hernia just yet," said Eagles manager Neil Warnock.
"We are going to give it another two weeks as the surgeon is not 100% sure and thinks it may heal without an operation."
