Palace's Davis denies FA charge

The on-loan Derby centre-half was accused by Cardiff of elbowing Johnson in the throat in a challenge which led to the Bluebirds defender being taken to hospital. Referee Russell Booth took no action at the time and Palace boss Neil Warnock was adamant the collision was accidental. The FA regulatory commission will now meet on Friday to discuss the incident, with Davis facing a three-match ban which will end his season if he is found guilty.
